Attending LAKMÉ Annual Trend Gala on the 18th of October 2017, I tried to put on a more mature look. I fully makeup my face, which included major contouring and highlighting. The look I was trying to achieve was a dark and mature look. So I created a smoky look for my eyeshadow. I attached a fake eyelashes as well to create drama. My eyebrows were filled and re-shaped with black eyebrow pencil. For the lipstick, I applied a rather dark one ” ” from Meet Matte Hughes Lipstick by the Balm. For the hair, I just chose to curl it on my own with a curling iron.
Having a “Glamour Glitz” dresscode, I picked a simple maxi black dress and pair it with a cropped white cape blazer. The dress was my mom’s vintage dress, used to be worn by my mom. Looking through her closet, I was interested by the dress because it’s simple yet interesting with the application of lace on the bust area. The dress was sleeveless with a spaghetti strap, so I was thinking to pair it with a white outer to add more attention and avoid the whole look to be plain and boring. The outer was cropped so it accentuated my back area, adding more curves! ( if you know what I mean ). Finally, I completed the look with a silver clutch covered in swarovski’s crystal to add a bit of a glam, glitz and sparkle.
